Below are detailed descriptions of the above mentioned services.

BMW Inspection 1: Every 30,000 Miles

This inspection service is the smaller of the two recommended BMW services yet it ensures that your car is safe and mechanically sound. At a scheduled rate of every 6 oil changes, a few things need to be changed, but even more components need to be inspected as the heart of this inspection.

Check! Oil and filter change

Check! Check transmission, power steering, exhaust system, and fuel system for leaks

Check! Examine brake system and fluid level, clean brake contact points, inspect disc surfaces and pad life

Check! Check for play and wear in control arm bushings, steering tie rods, steering linkage, and axle joints

Check! Check tire life, tread pattern, pressure, and balance

Check! Check cooling system (hoses and coolant)

Check! Electrical: Check BMW diagnostic computer for stored faults, perform battery load test, check all lights, signals, windshield washer system, and reset computer

Check! Perform road test for brakes, suspension, steering, acceleration, and transmission performance

BMW Inspection 2: Every 60,000 Miles

This service is part of our BMW repair. Chapel Hill and other NC areas are covered. It includes everything featured in the inspection 1 plus the replacement of a few additional components that wear out after 60,000 miles.

BMW 100,000 Mile Service

Some BMW's recommend replacement of the vehicles spark plugs, whether it be 4, 6, 8, or 10 at this time (not all BMW's have spark plugs replaced at 60,000 mile intervals). Along with the replacement of the vehicles spark plugs, BMW recommends replacement of the vehicles 4 oxygen sensors. This is not a mandatory service for these vehicles however. We would certainly check the running values to ensure they are not working properly before we would do the replacement. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission we would also perform an automatic transmission fluid service.

BMW Pre-purchase Inspection within Raliegh, Cary, Chapel Hill NC

Buying a BMW? We can check your car first as included in our BMW service (Chapel Hill, Cary and Raleigh). Prior to purchasing a used BMW, have us perform a pre-purchase inspection to ensure the car's mechanical functionality, cosmetics, and safety. This service can save you a lot of time and headache down the road! We generally only charge $44 for this service, however we can perform a more detailed service which includes checking the cylinders compression, and performing a leak down test. The more involved service varies in price, depending on how difficult it is to remove the spark plugs.

BMW "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" Light Diagnosis

Is this light emitted on your instrument cluster?

This means there is an emissions issue with your vehicles. This could be something minor, but there is a chance it could be something more. We highly recommend you at least get this figured out so it does not do any type of further damage to your vehicle. We have several state of the art computer systems that can accurately read and help us diagnose these “Check Engine” lights. Depending on what the problem is, this can be a time-consuming process. Sometimes it is an easy fix, but sometimes there are more entailed issues. Make sure you get your “Check Engine” light figured out sooner than later.

BMW "Tune-Up" Services

The phrase “tune-up” used to mean replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor parts. Now there are other components involved with your vehicles ignition system that play a role in fuel economy and power. As part of our BMW repair Raleigh service, we can make sure your vehicle is running top notch for you so you get the most bang for your buck at the gas pump! We can check and analyze the condition of your ignition system and running characteristics of your vehicles engine and give you a professional opinion on how it is doing. We also offer a service through BG that drastically improves fuel flow allowing for better fuel economy and performance.

BMW Transmission, Engine & Driveline Service/Repair

This is a BMW service offered to Raleigh and other North Carolina areas. We can properly diagnose and repair problems with your vehicles engine, transmission, and transaxle and get you back on the road where you need to be. Whether it knocks, clunks, vibrates, leaks, or smells, we can find it and fix it. Next time something seems out of the ordinary, don’t panic. It may be something minor. We take the time and effort to correctly diagnose even the smallest of concerns.

BMW Exhaust System Repairs

Ensuring your exhaust system is working properly is very important. There are several components to your exhaust system. If your exhaust is not working properly it can actually cause your “Service Engine Soon” or “Check Engine” light to come on. If you are experiencing this it may be related to a component on your exhaust. We perform exhaust repairs with the inclusion of catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, resonators, and mufflers. We can perform weld work on your exhaust as well.

BMW Cooling System

Your vehicles cooling system is critical to its reliability. Ensuring proper engine cooling not only allows your engine to maintain at safe operating temperatures, but also allows for your interior heat to function properly. If you ever notice your vehicle is running hot, coolant light is coming on, or that your heat is not blowing hot air out of the vents, you should probably get that checked sooner than later to prevent possible damages.

BMW VANOS

Most people who drive these vehicles are unaware of the impending issues with the vehicles VANOS system. The VANOS system is BMW's variable valve timing for the engine. This is a great feature to have on these cars, which allows for better performance, fuel economy, and power. Unfortunately, most people are actually not getting the full effect of this system due to a failure inside of the engine. After about 40,000 miles, the rubber seals inside the system wear out and don't allow the system to work properly. Besian Systems offers an amazing solution to this problem as well as another with the VANOS units. We have been installing the upgraded 2-piece teflon seals since 2008 and have had nothing but great testimonials about them. We have seen increases in fuel economy, smoother running, and increased power. It is one of our most proud-to-offer services that we provide.

BMW Fuel Injection Service

Our fuel and intake cleaning service is not your run-of-the-mill can of detergent you get at your parts store and dump into the gas tank. We take this service very seriously and provide an effective cleaning of your vehicles injection and intake system. We proudly use BG Products to perform our fuel and intake cleaning services. We use a high-pressure pump that runs a concentrated detergent through the fuel lines, fuel rails, fuel injectors, and intake valves. This cleans out any sediment that has built up over the years. We then run a second high-pressure sprayer with a different detergent through the intake manifold that cleans the intake manifold, throttle bodies, and continues to clean the intake valves. Lastly, we add a can of BG 44k to the gas tank to help continue clearing out any sediment that has broken loose during this service. We see substantial increases in the vehicles running characteristics, which generally results in better fuel economy and boosted performance. BMW Air Conditioning Service/Repair

If your air conditioning system is not cooling as well as you would like or is not working at all, we can find out the root problem for you and fix it! We proudly offer the ability to service, repair, and recharge your vehicles A/C system. Not only can we recharge the systems, but we can also diagnose reasons for non-functioning A/C systems. We are able to add trace dye to the refrigerant and use UV lights to pinpoint where leaks are. We can determine why your system is not cooling to your liking and get it working correctly for you in the warmer weather. These services vary in pricing, depending on what the problem is, but usually an hours diagnosis is sufficient to find what the problem is.

BMW Brake Service

We offer complete brake services, including replacement of brake pads, pad sensors, brake rotors and baking plates. We also clean and adjust all contact points on the calipers, lubricate the slide pins, and ensure there are no brake squeals or noises. We then perform the "break-in" process so everything is good to go for you when you pick up the vehicle.

BMW Bushings /Suspension

A very common wear point on these fine BMW cars is their various bushings. The bushings on these cars are generally a one piece rubber bushing that flex's and tears over time, causing there to be several suspension issues with the vehicle, leading to uneven tire wear and uncomfortable ride situations. We have addressed these problems head on and do not use the factory wear-prone BMW bushings, but rather an upgraded 2-piece polyurethane bushing. We feel these bushings last much longer due to their design and material. We also offer additional suspension repairs, including shock absorbers, struts, and ball joint repairs.

BMW Tire Mounting & Balancing

Your tires are the MOST important part of your car. They are what makes contact between your car and the road. That is why we now offer tires, with the ability to mount and balance them for your. Are your tires worn down to the wear bars? Did you know that on most BMW's the insides of the tires wear more rapidly than the outsides, making it difficult to tell if your tires are safe to drive on. We will gladly inspect your tires condition and inflation at no charge to you. We want to make sure our customers are driving on safe tires. Don't go to those "quick-tire" places where they rush through the process and could possibly damage something or not torque wheels down properly. We use state of the art equipment to ensure everything is done properly. We also hand-torque all wheels to the proper torque!

BMW Alignment Service

Ensuring your vehicles alignment is critical! We offer FREE alignment checks on your vehicle to ensure proper tracking, steering, and tire wear.
